In most discussions about Creation vs. Evolution, the primary focus is usually on supporting or refuting the quantity of time or the probability of chance being involved in the process. This presentation deviates from this by directing the attention towards a particular pattern or fractal in Scripture for which Genesis 1 provides the blueprint, and then to show how human embryological development conforms to this pattern.
For those who hold the view that Man’s presence on earth and his destiny are framed within the larger context of a loving Creator, for the purpose of cultivating our capacity for relationship and responsibility, can expect to be strengthened in their belief. However, even those who negate this premise, and favor rote mechanisms and chance, may still be intrigued by the parallelism between the story of Creation and the various epochs in human embryology. I believe it would be fruitful to study the development of human life with an understanding of this pattern.
The conclusions we reach may not be the same, but the pursuit of truth is never wasted when embarked upon with a willingness to go where the evidence leads.
